Super Smash Bros Brawl: I can't get it recognize my 2nd controller. How do I add a controller?

I just bought the game, and can't figure out how to add a controller for multi-player . Which screen should I be on to add a controller? What buttons do I press? I've tried all typical combos (i.e. pressing 1%26amp;2, pressing A) but nothing has worked.Super Smash Bros Brawl: I can't get it recognize my 2nd controller. How do I add a controller?

There are a number of things you can do. Either press ';HOME'; with the remote that is currently connected, click on the remore icon, then press ';reconnect.'; At this time, press the 1 %26amp; 2 buttons at the same time on each of the controllers (seperatley) and that should connect them. If that does not work, open the battery pack cover on the back of your remote and you should see a red button. Now open the tiny slot (SD card slot) on the front of your Wii to the right of the disc slot. You should see another red button in there. Press both red buttons at the same time and wait for a few seconds and it should connect. If none of this works, try both methods at the Wii menu as opposed to in the game itself. Hope this helps!
you have to sync it with your wii. just look in your instruction booklet or look it up on WWW.NINTENDO.COM
